# IEO

> The MCR Initial Exchange Offering on the Monochrome Launchpad.

The MCR IEO (Initial Exchange Offering) is conducted on the Monochrome Launchpad. The private round closed with a 24-month vesting schedule. The IEO is the first offering on the Launchpad and is open to eligible participants worldwide.

## How to participate

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create your Monochrome account">
    Sign up at [monochrome.exchange](https://www.monochrome.exchange/) and enable two-factor authentication. The IEO runs inside your exchange account, so there is no wallet to connect and nothing to install.

  <Step title="Fund with USDT">
    Deposit USDT to your exchange wallet before the subscription window opens. Deposits are credited once confirmed on-chain, so allow time for network confirmations rather than depositing at the last minute. Subscriptions are paid in USDT.

  <Step title="Subscribe">
    When the window opens, go to the IEO page on the Launchpad and enter the amount of USDT you want to commit. The price, minimum and maximum subscription amounts, and live progress are all shown on that page. Your USDT is reserved from your balance when you confirm. The window closes on the scheduled end date or as soon as the allocation is filled, whichever comes first, so committing early is safer than waiting.

  <Step title="Receive your MCR">
    There is nothing to claim. At the Token Generation Event, 50% of your MCR is credited directly to your Monochrome account. The remaining 50% vests linearly over the following 3 months and is credited automatically as it unlocks. Unlocked MCR can be traded on Monochrome or withdrawn to an external wallet.
